Soaking Quartz Crystals in Drinking Water Quartz crystals left in water will ionize the water and this is a good drink for healing. The high silica content of many crystal minerals allows water to keep its structure and prevents it from becoming "weak" and polluted. Crystal water (water that a quartz crystal has been placed in) has been drunk for its healthy benefits for centuries.
There are two ways to make crystal water. One way is to take a large, clean piece of quartz and place it at the bottom of a pitcher of fresh water. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and leave the crystal in the pitcher each time you refill the pitcher. After several weeks, when the water does not taste special (really cold and delicious) anymore, place the quartz crystal in the sun for 4 hours to recharge and then return it to the water pitcher.
The alternative to submerging the crystal directly into the water, is to put the crystal in an empty glass and put the glass holding the crystal into the pitcher or tank of water.
